Pat Rodohan Liberal Democrat Party. Votes 1011
I'M BACKING THE PEOPLE'S CAMPAIGN TO SAVE DGH
Pat is a well-known and respected campaigner who has lived locally for over thirty years. As a long serving Lib Dem he is a former Deputy Mayor of Eastbourne and has had many years experience on the Council. He is also an active Member of the Federation of Small Businesses and used to run, with his wife Barbara, a popular local hotel.
Pat's priorities on the Council will be to defeat Conservative plans to build a new waste transfer plant in Tutts Barn, part of Upperton Ward, as well as stopping County Council plans to introduce widespread car parking charges to Eastbourne.
He is also determined to get more police on patrol locally and to take action with Eastbourne Borough Council to improve recycling to protect our local environment.
If elected Pat Rodohan will be a strong, experienced voice for Upperton.

Catharine Birchwood Green Party. Votes 261
I have lived in Eastbourne for twenty-four years, raised my family here and have grown to love this town and its beautiful surrounding countryside. All my life I have been passionate about the environment and now believe that we need to take urgent action regarding the way we live.
I am fully committed to the Green Party as the only party that is seriously prepared to make the changes necessary. Let us join the ever-increasing forum of the global Green movements when it comes to voting for a viable future! Some local issues I am particularly interested in are the threat of flooding in parts of the town, the need to expand the recycling plant so it can cope with a greater volume and the green boxes taking more plastics and other materials.
I believe that our senior citizens can continue to make a valuable contribution to our community. At the same time their life-long contributions should be reflected in their pensions.

He was first elected to the Borough Council in 1991 and has served four terms as a Councillor for Upperton Ward. Currently Mayor of Eastbourne, he assumed that role having been twice Leader of the Council.
He is campaigning to:

2.Use resources wisely, reduce waste, and raise levels of recycling.
3.Improve the local economy to create prosperity for all.
