A long standing Old Town resident, Carolyn is married with two grown-up children. She is well-known locally, having worked as the Practice Nurse at Green Street surgery before moving to another Practice.
Carolyn is passionate about improving the facilities for families and elderly people in Old Town, she believes that the present Council has let down young people by failing to update leisure and play facilities.

Andrew Goodwin ELECTED 2007 votes
Liberal Democrat.
Andrew Goodwin has lived here for a couple of years now having previously lived all over the South East and thoroughly loves Eastbourne!
He works for The LINK Centre for Deafened People, helping to rehabilitate deafened people of all ages to come to terms with acquired profound hearing loss. He has a particular interest in the modernisation of Eastbourne and wants to make it accessible to and enjoyed by everyone.
One of the reasons Andrew wants to become a Councillor is to stop the current Councillors wasting public money on unpopular schemes. Andrew says "The current fiasco on the parking scheme and the shameful 52% pay raise for Tory Councillors makes me so angry! By changing the make-up of the Council, we can make Eastbourne greater, increase the employment prospects for all, improve facilities for families and help Eastbourne remain a wonderful place to live in".

Clive Gross 681 votes
Green Party.
Among the key issues for the town I have been campaigning for is a high quality Town Centre redevelopment and the preservation of vital local small community businesses such as in Albert Parade. We deserve to be more than just another Clone Town centre with just a bigger and blander shopping centre than we already have - which is what the Council and their developers seem to want. We need to keep and enhance the unique character of our town, as that is what will attract visitors to keep coming back to Eastbourne.
Despite a lot of green sounding rhetoric coming from even the most unlikely political corners these days, it is delivery of green policies on the ground that actually counts. Greens believe in more local decision making and a more representative local Council. We support the principal of all major Borough Council decisions being made by the entire Council, not just a handful of Cabinet Committee members. For a real Green voice in Eastbourne and a long-term vision for Old Town, please support Old Town Greens.
